POPLAR SPRING COOLJC Elder & Mother J.V. Cook came to Poplar Spring church August of 1993, there have been a lot of accomplishments since they arrived. When Elder and Mother Cook came to Poplar Spring there where only a few members, now ten years later by hearing and being taught the true word of God membership has increased to more than fifty members. The church has really been blessed spiritually, many Baptized in the name of Jesus with the evidence of spearing in unknown tongues, some with the gift of tounges all through teaching the true word of God by Elder & Mother Cook. With the teaching of God's word and th members being obedience to God and the vision Godgave to Elder Cook, the church has accomplish a lot. Made the transitions from Baptize to Church of our Lord Jesus Christ (C.O.O.L.J.C.), we first remolded with the help of people all over the state. We have four Sunday school classes, two deacons, two ministers, Missionary, and senior and jr. choirs, nine auxiliary's, travel ministry, a van and a bus the Lord has blessed us with this and much more. This is just the beginning of Gods work for Elder, Mother, and the Poplar Spring church family. The Poplar Spring church families have been truly blessed with Elder & Mother Cook, and thei teaching. He is truly a man of God, who not only teach and preach here but every where he goes. Elder Cool never teaches or preaches any thing but the word of God. |
